I was the 1980s

When I was young, I didn’t enjoy studying English, but I was fascinated by new things. After my first encounter with computers, I realized the importance of learning English. At the beginning, everyone hoped to have their own personal webpage, but at that time, few people knew how to register domain names, so they often used free virtual hosts with secondary domains to create their personal webpages. I started to learn HTML and CGI.

Little by little, I started to get involved in computer programming, and I realized that English was truly important. Suddenly, I discovered that my English was quite poor, so I began to look for ways to improve it on my own. At first, I memorized common vocabulary by heart. Later, I felt that my English should be better and shouldn’t just remain at the stage of introducing myself by saying, “My name is XXX.”

Even until now, I still feel that in the face of knowledge, I am still so insignificant.

I am a poor person from the 1980s.
